Buying a Jack Russell

So, you’ve found a reputable breeder and are ready to buy a jack russell terrier? There are some things you should consider before buying a JRT puppy. They need a lot of attention so it wouldn’t be wise to buy or adopt a jack russell if you’re expecting a new baby or have small children in the house at all times.

Full time job? Are you working full time? Your little puppy will need lots of attention and should be socialized with other humans and other dogs, so make sure you have the time. Leaving them alone during the day without exercise will result in them chewing and tearing anything they can sink their teeth it (trust me, I know from experience).

Budget. Sure, Jack Russell Terriers seem to be affordable, but don’t forget the other expenses. Your new jack russell puppy will need to be trained and should be trained by a professional if you’re not experienced. You don’t want to feed your new puppy table food so you’ll need to buy dog food made for this breed. They needs lots of toys and treats… treats to make training easier and toys so they don’t get bored well your away for a few hours or can’t pay attention to them for whatever reasons.

Taking the dog to the vet. All dog’s need to be brought to the vet once you get them so they can be checked for viruses, infections and other problems. You’ll also have to bring him or her to the vet a few times a year when younger so they can get their vaccinations and be checked for health problems. You should check out the sites below for information on canine anal glands and urinary tract and bladder infections you pet could get:
